This year’s advent season is yet another time shadowed by Corona and the rules in place. It must have been such a delight for the Andechs hikers when the scent of fresh waffles awaited them just at the end of a long hike when the kiosk “Cafe de la Montana” in Kientalstraße opened its windows on the second weekend of December. Next to the little street café they had decorated a table with handmade goods from Kenya. Not only did they offer Kenyan jewellery and other Christmas gifts but also a cup of hot punch and freshly baked waffles – all in the favour of the Maisha Mazuri Children Centre. We are incredibly grateful for a donation of 756 Euro at the end of the day.
